Course Description

Social media marketing doesn’t have to be so daunting. 

This course will help you understand the mechanism underlying social media marketing. Learn how to leverage on social media platforms to meet organisational objectives. At the end of the course, you will be able to develop, present and implement a social media marketing plan to transform your impact.  

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Evaluate the potential and suitability of social media marketing opportunities
  • Write social media marketing objectives
  • Develop plans for social marketing campaign
  • Determine the feasibility of using diverse types of social media platforms
  • Examine the values of building a community of advocates on social media platform
  • Monitor the outcomes and evaluate the impact of social medial marketing on organisation


23 hours including face-to-face learning, online learning, and assessment

Complimentary: Each learner will be allocated 2 hours of consultation with a digital marketing professional on your social media marketing strategy

Charmaine is the Chief Digital Marketing Officer at Sky Digital Agency and Chief Learning Officer at The Good Designers.
She’s a web designer by training, and started her first design agency in 2010, which eventually rebranded as “Sky Digital Agency” in 2014.
Out of her passion to share her social media and digital marketing knowledge with marketers, she has developed more than 12 digital marketing curriculums and trained more marketing professionals and businesses in Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines and Mauritius.
She is a WSQ ACTA Certified Trainer, and an Associate Adult Educator (AAE) and Trainer with Institute for Adult Learning (IAL), does social media, digital marketing training and mentoring with startups at Ngee Ann Polytechnic (Sandbox), Temasek Polytechnic (LaunchPad), and SUTD Venture Building Program (Supported by ESG).
Till date, she has trained more than 1,200 individuals, and conducted more than 1,950 hours of training in the last 5 years alone.
Charmaine makes learning interactive, practical and fun. That’s how she learn, and that’s how she shares her knowledge with others.

Target Audience

Professionals, Managers and Executives an interest to leverage on the potentials of social media marketing.


Learners who have successfully completed and passed the assessment will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) in Social Media Marketing issued by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).

Course Outline


Building the foundation

 Understand the pros and cons of social media marketing and develop a case based on the profile of target audience to propose social media marketing strategies


Learning through practice

Write social media objectives based on actual organisation's needs and learn how to develop a social media marketing plan. Examine the feasibility of different platforms and the considerations when engaging the platforms.


Monitor and evaluate

Monitor social media marketing campaigns as well as identify appropriate return of investments (ROI) to review and measure campaign effectiveness.


Application to real-world situations

Evaluate existing usage of social media and its impact on organisation. Learners will present their evaluation of their organisation’s usage of social media and explore ways to enhance their social media marketing campaigns.
