Course Description

Gone are the days where managing was about ‘I say, you do, because I am the boss and I know best’. The new millennial workforce wants employers who believe in their potential, who support them in achieving what they never thought they could. Are you such a manager?

Equip yourself with coaching skills to help your employees thrive and succeed in the workplace. Support staff in improving service delivery and client interaction. As coaches, we can drive positive change within both individuals and the organisation.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Prepare coaching plan for individuals to address service performance issues
  • Uncover methods to identify areas of improvement in coaching
  • Overcome barriers to learning by employing different techniques for coaching
  • Demonstrate the use of coaching techniques to address service performance issues
  • Apply techniques to monitor progress of individual for improvements
  • Apply feedback to individual for service and continuous improvement during coaching


24.75 hours blended-learning including face-to-face learning, online learning, and assessment

General public with an interest to apply coaching to develop or enhance their people management skills.


Learners who have successfully completed and passed the assessment will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) in Service Coaching issued by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).

Building the foundation

Understand the principles of coaching, the roles of coaches and how to assess for learning needs and performance gaps.


Building skills for action

Apply coaching techniques to overcome learning barriers and give feedback to support learning.


Monitoring coaching progress

Learn the different techniques to set future actions, monitor the actions and suggest areas for improvement.


Development of self as professional

Experiential practice and feedback from trainers to sharpen skills as a coach.
