Learning with us

Our programmes

Choosing the right programme and understanding what to expect from the learning experience.

The best starting point depends on what you hope to learn. Our helping-skills and para-counselling programmes are suitable for people who want to communicate more effectively and support others with greater confidence.

We also offer programmes in mental health, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, youth mentoring, leadership and community support.

Visit our course listing to compare the available programmes and upcoming dates.

Most of our programmes are designed to be accessible to learners without prior professional experience, unless a course page states otherwise.

Some advanced or specialised programmes may have entry requirements. Please check the individual course page before registering.

Our programmes emphasise practical application. Depending on the course, learning may include guided discussions, case scenarios, demonstrations, skills practice, role-plays, personal reflection and trainer feedback.

The aim is not only to understand a concept, but also to apply it in real conversations, relationships and workplace or community situations.

Certificate arrangements differ by programme. Where applicable, learners must meet the stated attendance, participation and assessment requirements before a certificate can be issued.

Please refer to the relevant course page for the exact certificate requirements.

Our programmes can strengthen your knowledge, confidence and practical skills, but they are not a guarantee of employment and may not replace formal professional qualifications required for particular roles.

They can nevertheless help you explore a helping role, develop relevant competencies and make a more informed decision before pursuing further study or employment.

Registration and payment

What happens after you register and how places are confirmed.

Visit the relevant course page, select an available intake and complete the registration form. Please ensure that your name, email address and contact number are entered accurately.

Our team will contact you with the next steps, payment instructions and any documents required for the selected programme.

You should receive an acknowledgement after submitting the registration form. Our team will subsequently review your registration and send the relevant confirmation or payment information.

Please check your spam or junk folder. Contact us if you have not received an acknowledgement or follow-up within the stated processing period.

Submitting a form does not necessarily guarantee a place. Registration is confirmed after the required information, eligibility checks and payment arrangements have been completed.

Places are generally allocated on a first-confirmed, first-served basis.

Late registrations may be considered when places remain, but we recommend registering at least one week before the programme begins.

Earlier registration allows sufficient time for payment, funding administration and pre-course preparation.

Where possible, our team will offer you a place on the next available intake or advise you when a new schedule is released.

Available payment methods and instructions will be provided after registration. These may vary depending on the programme, funding arrangement and registration type.

Please follow the payment instructions issued by our team and include the required payment reference.

Cancellations, transfers and replacements are subject to the terms stated in your registration confirmation or course agreement.

Contact our team as early as possible if your circumstances change. Do not arrange a replacement participant without receiving our confirmation first.

Funding and subsidies

Understanding whether funding applies and what you may need to submit.

No. Funding availability differs by programme, intake, learner profile and prevailing eligibility requirements.

The relevant course page will indicate whether funding may be available. Our team will confirm the applicable course fee after reviewing your registration details.

Eligibility may depend on factors such as citizenship or residency, age, employment status, previous funding usage, attendance and assessment requirements.

Please provide accurate information during registration. Final eligibility remains subject to the relevant funding rules and verification process.

SkillsFuture Credit usage depends on whether the specific programme and intake are eligible at the point of registration.

Where applicable, our team will provide instructions after your registration has been reviewed. Please do not submit a claim until you have received the correct course and payment information.

Yes. Employers may sponsor employees for selected public programmes or engage us to conduct a private programme.

Please indicate the organisation's billing details during registration or ask the sponsoring organisation to contact us directly.

Learners are responsible for providing accurate information and meeting the applicable attendance, assessment and administrative requirements.

If funding is not approved, withdrawn or recovered, the learner or sponsoring organisation may be required to pay the outstanding course fee.

Before your class

Training arrangements

Venue, timing, attendance, assessments and other practical information.

Unless otherwise stated, classes may be conducted at our training premises at:

11 Sims Drive, SCN Centre, #02-03,
Singapore 387385

Always refer to your confirmation email, as the venue may differ for selected programmes or private classes.

Please arrive about 15 minutes before the stated start time for registration and settling in. Late arrival may affect your learning and, for funded programmes, your attendance eligibility.

For a full-day programme, the lunch break is usually about one hour. Shorter breaks are also scheduled during the day.

Exact timings may vary according to the trainer, programme activities and pace of the class.

Assessment requirements differ across programmes. They may include participation, written reflection, practical demonstration, oral questioning, role-play or other competency-based activities.

The course page and pre-course information will explain the requirements that apply to your intake.

Bring a device or stationery for note-taking, any required identification and the materials specified in your confirmation email.

We also recommend bringing a light jacket, as training rooms may feel cool.

Selected programmes may be delivered online, in person or through a blended format. The delivery mode is shown on the relevant course page and in the registration confirmation.

Working together

Organisations and partners

Private training, programme customisation, volunteer development and sector partnerships.

Yes. We conduct private programmes for companies, government agencies, schools, social service agencies and community organisations.

Delivery may be arranged at your premises, at our training rooms or online, depending on the programme and group requirements.

Yes. We can adapt programme emphasis, case scenarios, activities and examples to suit your audience, operating context and learning objectives.

More extensive redesign or content development may require an additional development fee and preparation period.

Recommended and minimum group sizes vary by programme. Practical skills programmes may also have trainer-to- participant limits to ensure meaningful practice and feedback.

Contact us with your estimated group size and preferred dates so we can recommend a suitable arrangement.

Yes. We work with organisations to strengthen volunteer readiness, helping skills, boundaries, self-care, engagement and role-specific capability.

Support can include live training, digital onboarding, blended learning and the co-development of organisation- specific learning resources.

Tell us about your intended audience, the need you are addressing, your desired outcomes, estimated group size and timeline.

We can then arrange an exploratory conversation to understand whether an existing programme, customised solution or co-development partnership is most suitable.
