The world’s leading 2-day workshop for anyone who wants to feel ready, willing and able to help a person at risk.

Overview

ASIST is a two-day, highly interactive workshop in suicide first aid. It teaches you to recognise when someone may be having thoughts of suicide and to work with them to create a plan that supports their immediate safety.
No prior training is needed. Anyone 16 or older who wants to be a suicide-first-aid helper — caregivers, volunteers, teachers, healthcare and frontline staff — is welcome.

  • Understand and set aside personal attitudes toward suicide
  • Use the ASIST intervention model to build a safety plan
  • Connect a person at risk to further support and resources

What is ASIST?

Developed by LivingWorks and used in over 20 countries, ASIST is the most widely used suicide-intervention training in the world. It’s evidence-informed, practical, and built around real conversation practice in a safe, supportive setting.
