The Human Side of AI
A Leadership Workshop

Lead the people, not just the tools.

AI can now produce polished work in minutes, but a polished output is not the same as a sound decision. This half-day workshop helps leaders, managers and HR professionals rethink productivity, fairness and coaching, so their people keep the judgment to use, question and improve what AI produces.

Early-bird fee: S$98 (U.P. S$140) for registrations by 2 November 2026.

Course Overview

When AI can generate increasingly sophisticated work, how do leaders make sure their people still understand it well enough to use, challenge and improve it?

The Human Side of AI is not an AI tools course. It is a practical, four-hour workshop on what changes for people when AI enters everyday work: the capabilities employees still need, the assumptions leaders hold about productivity and performance, and the coaching that builds real judgment rather than just polished outputs.

Working through an unfolding workplace scenario, you will examine your own definitions of productivity, effectiveness and fairness, and practise coaching conversations that help staff explain their reasoning, test assumptions and learn from experience.

Training Provider: Blended Concept Pte. Ltd.
Course Type: Full-fee workshop

Course Outline

1

How AI Changes Cognitive Work

Explore three shifts in work: from producing information to evaluating it, from executing tasks to defining problems, and from completing tasks to managing human consequences.

Distinguish the capabilities needed to work well with AI from the human capabilities that remain essential.

2

From Data to Judgment

Use the Data–Information–Knowledge–Wisdom lens to see which thinking employees are doing, and which they are handing over to AI.

Understand why a sophisticated AI recommendation does not prove that the person using it understands it.

3

How People Still Learn

Look at cognitive offloading, deliberate practice and learning from experience in AI-supported work.

See what happens when people cannot connect a decision, its assumptions and the real-world outcome.

4

Leadership Assumptions Under Pressure

Separate efficiency from effectiveness: finishing faster does not prove the work creates more value.

Rethink productivity in terms of quality, outcomes, rework, learning and sustainability, not only speed.

5

Fairness and Accountability

Consider unequal access to AI-friendly tasks, tools, experience and oversight, and what that means for fair comparisons.

Decide what employees must be able to explain, verify, own and improve, even when AI contributes substantially.

6

Coaching for Reasoning, Not Just Outputs

Move from “Is it done?” to “What was the problem, what did you assume and check, and what would you change?”

See a coaching demonstration, then practise in pairs, receive feedback and try again.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Explain how AI changes cognitive work in your team, including the capabilities people need to work with AI and those that remain essential.
  • Distinguish between producing a good AI-assisted output and understanding, explaining and improving it.
  • Identify where relying on AI may support or limit employees’ development of reasoning and judgment.
  • Examine your own assumptions about productivity, effectiveness, fairness and accountability when employees use AI differently.
  • Use coaching questions that develop employees’ problem framing, reasoning and learning from experience.
  • Map the priority people-capability gaps for AI readiness in your team or organisation.

Duration

This is a 4-hour in-person workshop, including a short break. It combines:

  • An unfolding workplace scenario with short concept inputs and discussion

  • A coaching demonstration, paired practice and feedback

  • A personal action plan for your team
